Have you ever looked at the ladies in Hollywood and thought, "How do they get their hair so glossy without it looking—the worst—greasy?" (Every day? Funny, samesies.)

Well, a little birdie—and by birdie we mean celebrity hairstylist Giannandrea—let us in on his secrets behind Emmy Rossum's gleaming, glamazon waves at the Critics' Choice Television Awards this week, and let us tell you, they're way easier to create than they look. And it won't cost you the price of a designer gown to get!

Read on to find out the exact steps (products, too!) you need to get this must-copy hairstyle.

Step 1: “I started with wet hair, and I applied Kerastase Sublimateur Jour Hair Styling Smoothing Cream ($42 at kerastase-usa.com) pre-blow out, then dried the hair very smooth and silky using a large round bristle brush. I then sectioned a deep side part and blew out the bangs forward."

Step 2: "Using a large curling iron, I sectioned big and ample sections. Each section was sprayed with Redken #22 Setting Spray ($16 at walgreens.com). The hair was slightly twisted in the iron to create smooth waves."

Step 3: "Once the hair was waved I brushed the whole head with a Mason Pearson brush smoothly downward, pushing the hair behind the ear on the open side and brushing the bags slightly forward across the forehead."

Step 4: "I applied Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream ($34 at lordandtaylor.com) all over from roots to length for this incredible healthy, silky, shiny finish. Then, I sprayed the whole head with L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray ($15 at Ulta.com) to hold and create a satin finish.”
