You've Got To Try Jennifer Hudson's Faux Bob

(Source: Getty Images)She might be rocking a sexy pixie cut these days, but not long ago Jennifer Hudson had much longer hair. Yet even then she was channeling her inner short-haired goddess with a faux bob. Mimic Hudson's romantic chin-grazing updo yourself in four simple steps.

Step 1) Begin with straight, damp hair before styling. To ensure maximum sleekness, add a small amount of a frizz-taming balm or cream to damp tresses and blow dry using a large round brush.

Step 2) Next, when hair is dry, make a side part and section out bangs. If you don't have bangs, section a two-inch piece of hair from along the front hair line. Then, draw the rest of the hair back to the nape of the neck and secure in a loose ponytail.

Step 3) Tugging slightly on the sides of the pony will promote sagging, and the faux bob will begin to come to life. The ponytail can then be twisted loosely, flipped under and pinned to create the appearance of short hair.

Step 4) To finish the style, curl the ends of the front/bangs section. Brush them back lightly to incorporate into the rest of the 'do and mist with lots of hairspray.
