3 Off-Duty Hair Looks to Steal from Jessica Hart

Nobody does off-duty chic quite like a model who's, uh, off-duty—especially blonde Australian bombshell and Victoria's Secret star Jessica Hart. From this gal's beautiful just-because braids to her standard-issue fashionista topknots, Hart never leaves home without a to-die-for 'do.
While you find yourself out and about during your downtime this holiday—notably if you're stuck in your hometown (ahem, me) for vacay—whip up one of these effortlessly-cool hairstyles before you run out the door. Just imagine the look on your now pot-bellied high-school BF's face when you accidentally see him at the grocery store. (Gorgeous hair, FTW.)
Braids for Day:
Deemed one of the best braids on StyleBistro to date by all of y'all, Hart's French braid is the perfect solution to making day-old hair look washed and full of life. Make sure to spritz dirty locks with a shot of dry shampoo to soak up grease and help hold hair in place. We received Oscar Blandi's Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($25 at Birchbox.com) in our Birchbox this month, and love its instant freshening effect. (Plus, no white residue!)
When paired with casual devil-may-care hair, flyaways actually look kind of good, don't they?
Just like you need a break from work, your locks need a break from blow outs. Give them an off-day and let your hair air-dry for once. If you're worried about too much frizz, cheat the system and run a little smoothing serum through towel-dried hair.
Topknots are quite obviously Hart's favorite go-to for off-duty hair, and we totally get why—they're quick, they're chic, and even if they're messy, they've got that mysterious je ne sais quoi about them.
To give even the scrawniest of buns a little more oomph—Hart's hair is actually super-thin and fine—give damp locks the volumizing treatment. Salma Hayek's beauty line, Nuance, just amped up its hair product selection, and the Lift & Shine Volumizing Mousse ($9.99 at CVS.com) left our tresses smelling so fruity and delicious, we almost wanted to eat them. (Almost.)
