Spring Time Hair To Try: Dianna Agron's Flirty Fishbone Braid

(Source: Bauer Griffin)In warmer months, you can never go wrong with a braid. To amp up her look, Dianna Agron chose a fishbone braided headband to accent her red carpet look. Although this look seems difficult, with a little practice, you too can create this simple braided updo for your next springtime soirée. To create:

Step 1) Section out a three inch band of hair along the front hairline, going from ear to ear. Begin braiding this section, starting above one ear, making the braid parallel to the front hairline.

Step 2) To create a fishbone braid, divide the section into two equal parts. Then, pull a very thin piece of hair from along the edge of the hairline over the large section next to it. Repeat the process on the other side, pulling a small piece from the outside of the other large section and drawing it between the two large sections. (Watch a quick video guide, here!)

Step 3) To continue, simply keep pulling small pieces into the middle of the two large sections. Once the fishbone braid reaches the other ear, plait ends into a regular braid and secure with a clear hair elastic.

Step 4) Take the remaining tresses and finger comb to ensure hair retains a tousled texture. Then, including the braided ends, loosely twist and pin. Mist the finished 'do with a touch of hairspray.
