Great Hair Day: America Ferrera's Soft Curls

America FerreraAmerica Ferrera spent a good chunk of her career being called ugly—Betty that is. She played the title character on the hit fashion comedy Ugly Betty for four seasons. Now, America's making her mark on the big screen with The Dry Land, her first movie since the end of the series.
At a New York premiere of the movie, America showed up looking absolutely gorgeous in a fitted purple frock and beautiful, lush, soft curls. The key to this look is curling smooth, blow dryed hair. If you desire a similar look, here's how:
1. Apply a heat protectant shine serum to damp hair.
2. Blow dry hair with a boar-bristle round brush while angling hot air downwards for shiny locks.
3. Wrap sections of hair around a hot 2-inch thick barreled curling iron.
4. Spray each curled section with hairspray after releasing from iron.
5. Gently loosen curls with fingers.
