Former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld has been named the Global Fashion Director of Harper's Bazaar.

According to a Hearst-issued press release this morning, Roitfeld will work with the magazine's creative director Stephen Gan (above) starting with the March 2013 issues of all 26 international editions of the magazine. Gan and Roifeld have been longtime collaborators—Roitfeld has previously worked with Gan on his V magazine.

"I am thrilled to be contributing to Bazaar, a brand with a rich history of creativity," Roifeld said. "Working with Stephen and a roster of talented photographers will be a wonderful collaboration and one that will give these stories a truly global audience."
