Milly are the latest labels to get together and make sweet, mid-priced babies.
This should come as a surprise to no one, since Milly is
exactly Banana Republic's type. Last summer, the retailer partnered with T
rina Turk, whose vibrant prints and vacation-ready separates have a similar vibe to Milly's. And BR has teamed up with AMC on three
Mad Men-inspired collections filled with the same classic silhouettes that Milly's
Michelle Smith (pictured above) loves.
The 60-piece lineup, which includes menswear — a first for Michelle Smith! — is inspired by the Hamptons. "It's a very positive, happy collection," the designer told
WWD of her preppy pieces, which will come in shades of coral, lime, and navy. "The colors and patterns capture the modern spirit of summer."
Priced from $39.50 to $175, Milly for Banana Republic is set to launch this May at select BR stores and
