Call it a Christmas miracle—Men's Wearhouse is about to get a serious style injection. The company has just announced that veteran menswear designer Joseph Abboud will be joining the team as Chief Creative Director—and Men's Wearhouse will start stocking Abboud's label, Jaz.
"I am very excited to partner with [President and CEO] Doug Ewert and his team at Men's Wearhouse to take menswear specialty retail to a new level and to continue with George Zimmer's vision of great quality, great service, and great value," Abboud said. "Coming full circle, this is also a great opportunity for me to return to retail, where I hope to bring new ideas and innovative concepts directly to the consumer, including the launch of my Jaz collection."
Abboud was, most recently, the Chief Creative Officer of HMX Group, where he oversaw brands including Hickey Freeman, Coppley, and Bobby Jones.
