Patrick Robinson Is the Creative Director of Armani Exchange Now

After being fired from his post as the Gap's executive vice president of design in May 2011, Patrick Robinson laid low for a while — that is, until this month.

First, the designer gave the world a sneak peek at his forthcoming fashion label, Paskho – a project he hopes to get off the ground with the help of Kickstarter. (As of right now, he's about $8,000 short of his $50,000 goal.) And today, Armani Exchange announced that they've taken on Robinson as their new creative director, WWD reports — a position where his responsibilities will range from “product development to providing creative direction in marketing areas.”

This isn't his first time working with Armani — in the 90's, Robinson served as Giorgio Armani's design director. And while that whole Gap logo change debacle didn't exactly end well, if there's one brand whose logo could use an overhaul-slash-banishmentm it's Armani Exchange. Welcome back, Patrick! May there be many logo-less A/X shirts and non-embellished jeans in your future.
