It looks like the rumors were true — Beyonce
is the star of H&M's new summer ads. And she helped design the Swedish fast fashion giant's latest offerings! According to a representative from the retailer, Mrs. Carter gave "personal input on the pieces seen in the campaign." Let's take a look at what she's wearing, shall we? (H&M)
Here's an H&M shot featuring Beyonce lounging on a surprisingly normal vinyl beach chair, wearing high-waisted hotpants, an armful of gold bangles, and a sleeveless white blouse that is miraculously covering everything it needs to cover despite being almost completely unbuttoned. "I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind," the pop star said in a statement. You know who else loves that concept? This guy!
We wonder which element the campaign photo is meant to represent. Fire and water are out, since neither are pictured. Beyonce's hair is perfectly in place, so we're guessing it wasn't windy. Earth? Does sand count as earth? We're going with earth.
Talk about the partnership has been making the internet rounds since January, when one of Beyonce's dancers, Kimberly Gipson, tweeted (then deleted) the following comment about the shoot: "First day of trial in the Bahamas! H&M all set … go."
