Celebrity and fashion photographer David LaChapelle—whose work has graced the pages of countless editions of Vogue, Interview, Vanity Fair, and Rolling Stone—has been accused of assault by an art gallery director in Montana.
According to a report in Page Six, 25-year-old James Parmenter claims LaChapelle beat and choked him last March. Parmenter is suing for $1 million. He says he's "afraid to return to his apartment for fear of further attacks by LaChapelle."
No word yet from LaChapelle's reps. Parmenter runs Bigfork Collaborations, which has previously shown and sold LaChapelle's work.
