Self-Gifting Is at an All-Time High: Have You Bought Yourself a Holiday Present?

Be honest - are you number one on your holiday gift-giving list? If you answered yes, you're not alone.
According to the Wall Street Journal, self-gifting is at an all-time high this year, and 32% of holiday shoppers have already bought themselves a treat.
Compare that number to the 12% of shoppers who indulged in a little self-gifting before the recession. It doesn't makes sense, right? Well, there weren't as many sales before the recession, and with retailers amping up their Black Friday deals and flooding shoppers' inboxes with "ONE DAY SALE EXTRA SPECIAL AMAZING DEAL ACT NOW" coupons to combat the economic slump, putting the "me" in Christmas is more popular than ever.
So, tell us, did you get yourself a holiday present? Did you wrap it up and put a little "To: Me, From: Me" tag on it? I bought myself some unnecessarily fancy shampoo on a trip to a Sephora to buy my mom her favorite perfume, which they don't even carry, it turns out. Whoops. Anyway, let us know in the poll!
