(Courtesy of Oscar de la Renta) Oscar de la Renta
is about to get a little
bit more affordable, thanks to the designer's upcoming collaboration with The Outnet
On February 26th, de la Renta plans to roll out a 24-piece capsule collection for the discount site, featuring pieces priced from $325 to $1,295 (for comparison, a look from ODLR's main line will run you thousands of dollars).
Shoppers can expect to see the designer's signature ballgowns, ladylike blouses, and pencil skirts in florals and ikat prints with pops of red — all looks that Oscar fans will recognize, since they've been pulled from the de la Renta archives.
"We have things around here that are underutilized — [such as] 40 years of patterns, fabrics and artwork that a lot of people spent time on," Oscar de la Renta CEO Alex Bolen told WWD
. "We thought, perhaps we can put something together in a way that is new, that doesn't require as much development time and in an exclusive way."
