Mischa Barton's Unusual Fashion Campaign, Rent the Runway Goes Brick-and-Mortar and More

and More(Source: Alexander Koerner/Getty Images Europe)It's been awhile since we've heard from Mischa Barton, but The O.C. actress is back in a new fashion campaign—and it's not what you'd expect. Barton modeled for British e-cigarette brand Vapestick and will head up its search for the UK's most stylish vaper. And no, this is not us blowing smoke up your chimney. [Daily Mail]

In other unlikely fashion news, Athleta is headed to New York Fashion Week. The Gap-owned activewear brand's September 3 presentation will feature athletes instead of models, and considering that Beyoncè's choreographer is involved, you can bet they won't be standing around on a platform. [Racked]

Dubbed Nordstrom Signature x Caroline Issa, the line will feature 25 polished pieces such as tailored jackets, cashmere and knits, and will hit stores in February.

Rent the Runway has been changing up its online clothing-rental model, most recently by introducing its Unlimited program, but the company's latest move might be its biggest yet. On September 3, the online juggernaut will open its first standalone store in New York City. Expect a rotating selection of dresses and accessories from more than 200 designers, including Marchesa Voyage and Vera Wang, as well as one-on-one styling consultations for a $25 fee.

The 18-piece range ($145–$445) includes earrings, necklaces and a cuff, and even offers discounts for bridesmaids when you buy in bulk. [The Zoe Report]
