(Courtesy of Prada)Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of
The Great Gatsby doesn't hit theaters for another six months, but that didn't stop British
Vogue from giving us
the ultimate teaser — sketches of
Miuccia Prada and costume designer Catherine Martin's flapper looks!
(Courtesy of Prada) "Baz and Miuccia have always connected on their shared fascination with finding modern ways of releasing classic and historical references from the shackles of the past," Martin told the glossy. "This connection is central to our relationship with Miuccia Prada on
The Great Gatsby, and has connected our vision with hers. In the same way Nick Carraway reflects on a world that he is within and without, we have tried to create an environment that the audience will be subconsciously familiar with, yet separated from."
Audiences are
definitely familiar with seeing
Leonardo DiCaprio (aka Jay Gatsby) in
Prada. The actor wore one of Miuccia's suits for the wedding scene in Luhrmann's
Romeo and Juliet — a fact that we're mentioning in order post this gratuitous '90s Leo photo.

Gatsby costume:
