Tonight, the New York City Ballet will honor Valentino Garavani—or just Valentino as many know and love him—at its annual fall gala. But really, Valentino is honoring them—he created the magnificent costumes that will be worn in four of the works presented tonight.

Valentino has been visiting the New York City Ballet costume department ever since April to work on the new costume designs—and tonight, the dancers will perform George Balanchine’s "Rubies" in honor of Valentino and his signature red hue.

Lucky for us, the New York City Ballet uploaded instragram shots of the costumes onto its Facebook today. We'll shut up now and let you enjoy the beauty of the ballet.
