The thing about tailoring is that it’s infinitely better when done well. That’s something to bare in mind if you’re looking to indulge in some androgynous dressing this year – or indeed, ever. It may be a classically tailored suit with a tuxedo shirt, given feminine balance by way of a pair of stiletto heels… or a dress in a relaxed cut that mirrors masculine tailoring in a feminine way. Stylist Alexandra Loeb is well aware of both the nuances of dandy dressing and the preference for high quality pieces, if her styling work on this shoot is anything to go by. Her chosen outfits strike the right balance, drawing in pieces from the likes of Gucci, Celine, and Stella McCartney.
Photographer Renée Rodenkirchen cleverly captures the black and white outfits against the backdrop of black and white newspaper print; a concept that lends the shoot its fitting title of News Worthy. News worthy it is, and also viewing worthy.
