Putin’s Gymnast Alina Kabaeva Covers Vogue Russia January 2011
Kabaeva, 27 years old, is one of the most successful rhythmic gymnasts in world, holding two Olympic medals and over 30 other various championship medals, is dubbed "Golden Girl" by the Russian Vogue. She has since retired and after unproven allegations that she and Putin were in love and were getting married, Kabaeva has not surprisingly emerged in the world of politics as a member of the Russian parliament. Connections to Putin were never mentioned again.
You might recognize the golden dress on the cover as Balmain Fall 2010. It has already graced about a dozen other magazine covers. Is it supposed to send us some kind of a message about used goods?
