There is a vast amount of oriental influence for spring 2013 and what better way to show it than to have an editorial with the styling expertise of Igor Oussenko & Eugene Ilina putting it all together. Not short of a strong aura coming off the page, this main fashion shoot is strong in colour and mood. With props like a sword or attacking body language we almost half expect Jackie Chan to jump out behind Yulia.
Yulia’s stance and poses in this shoot manifest a strong and self-assured female. Her make up (done by Kate Kudrina) is seductive yet malicious, her hair (by Elena Korobova) is slicked into styles that mirror traditional martial arts, and her body projects a defensive and hard barrier.
