Making love to the rain
It’s erotic and audacious, sensual and uncensored, silent yet rhythmical, like a performance on repeat at a Parisian burlesque bar that you can’t draw your eyes away from. In a veil of falling rain, water droplets caress model Aiste’s skin like a lover, the act of being soaked in cool water becoming an act of passion. If one can make love to an elusive thing – a memory, the air, music (Music, sweet music / I wish I could caress, caress… sang Hendrix) – then Aiste can easily have us believe that even water is an eligible bedfellow.
And with that Pino Leone’s theatrical, inimitable, carnal and delightful shoot for Bambi Magazine’s 13th issue proves yet again that eroticism is born of more than blatant nudity or sexual acts. Done right, it comes down to emotion, distinction, suggestion and insinuation.
