On the radar: Argento continued- A real life review...
Over on the blog last week, I featured the brand Argento (http://www.argento.co.uk/default.aspx) see blog posts here and here This test was all about trying to find more for my money and when I was offered to trial the top Editors picks from Argento I jumped at the chance to offer some fab jewellery to be reviewed by someone other than my blog for a real review as to: would you buy?
First up is the gorgeous and multi talented Emma, who happens to run the rather amazing site http://www.emmacossey.com/. The lovely Emma has a brilliant sense of style and knows what she likes so it was a real test of Argento to see if it reach Emma's high standards. Emma tested two pieces from the August Woods range. For full listing of the August Woods range, click here http://www.argento.co.uk/Brands.aspx?BrandID=64
I adore jewellery. A beautiful necklace or pair of earrings, like a favourite bag or pair of shoes, will always suit you - regardless of whether you’re carrying a little extra weight or nursing a hangover. And a really great piece will earn their money in compliments from envious others. As someone who has a tendency to be a bit of a yo-yo dieter, jewellery is one of the few consistent parts of my wardrobe. But working from home, as I have been for the last 4+ years, means you don’t get many opportunities to showcase your pieces.
Recently though, I’ve started a role where I have to teach a group of graduates. Out in the real world. Scary. So, Sarah’s email about trying out a couple of pieces from Argento was perfectly timed. Sarah picked out the items, and was completely spot on with what she went for.
First up was the August Woods Romantic Revival Long Gold Crystal Feather Necklace. I love long necklaces like this, as it draws the eye down (and it’s particularly flattering on my apple body shape as it draws the eye to the waist). This style boasts a double chain, draping down to the crystal feather feature. It definitely has a vintage theme, with the gold tones and glamourous sparkle. One of my new favourites.
The second item was a pair of drop silver earrings in a super-cute fox design. These are perfect for day-to-day wearing, with just the right combination of quirky and classy. While the feather necklace is a real eyecatcher, these earrings are more subtle - so they’re great for busy outfits.Oh, and let’s mention the price. £10. What a bargain, eh?
Overall, I’m really impressed with Argento - it’s affordable, stylish and the site is a joy to browse. Both my sister and my sister-in-laws are big Pandora fans, so I’ll have having a good browse of their charms before Christmas.
