Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 Collection showcased during London Fashion Week brought a Blooming Garden on runway. Greek designer Mary Katrantzou played with prints, patterns and colors and flaunted a very Spring worthy collection.

Show opened with models stepping on runway of old Eurostar terminal transformed into a field of thousand of carnations. There were structural print dresses, asymmetrical hemlines, colorful dresses with long train, printed trousers, color blocked blazers and much more.

Lots of bright and soothing color including red, orange, blue, green, yellow and many more were on display in structural yet feminine designs making Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 Fashion Show, visually arresting.

Making the show all the more trendy was bright color lipstick and metallic peep-toe sandals by Christian Louboutin sported by models. Bold floral, bird, metal and coral reef prints were prominent on runway.

Key looks of collection included printed bold weave sweatshirts, stretchy knit dresses, trouser suits featuring pink carnations, yellow, red and to blue colors; Mary’s signature cocktail dresses draped over one shoulder and jutting out from the hips.

Rounding up the show was a sculpted crystal and metal efinale dress featuring tin cans, metal flowers, rivets and sequins. Designer’s mesmerizing and infectious approach to Spring 2012 dresses make it very much spring worthy.
