2011 CFDA Fashion Awards - Best Dressed

If there was ever one event which should have an impeccably dressed selection of guests, it's probably the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards (Ok, ok! The Met Gala too). Last night's awards, celebrating the best of the best in the fashion industry, didn't let us down on the red carpet. From designers and their model/actress muses, to journalists and fashion legends, they all were very on trend (naturally) in head-to-toe colour blocking, cut out details and cocoon shaped dresses (a la Burberry AW11).
Some looks weren't exactly my cup of tea, and some people *cough* The Olsens *cough* only really caught my eye with their accessories (those handbags are delicious), but I really loved the simplicity of some people looks, especially when it would have been so easy to go OTT. But I guess with Gaga in the house, what would have been the point? Some things are best left to the scene-stealing-red-carpet-queen professionals.
