Katy Perry, from cute to sexy

Katy Perry is not know for bring understated or classic; in fact if there’s one word that perfectly defines her public image, colourful might just be it. “She’s a Rainbow”, as the Rolling Stones once sang. And yet Interview Magazine put on their latest cover a barely recognisable Katy Perry in monochrome, with styling that might have been borrowed from the dressing room of Monica Belluci or some other Italianate beauty rather than from Perry’s own kaleidoscopic beauty kit.
The inside pages of the magazine have revealed a similar story. The thick, dark brows, the exaggerated black eyeliner, and clothing that’s part flapper part showgirl all lend a look to Perry that we’ve not seen on her before. But all equally glamorous. Seems Perry doesn’t need to be in a cute and colourful world to grab attention, after all.
