Mirrored between desire and suspicion

Reflections are a recurrent theme in Remi Rebillard‘s work. A model mirrored in glass, in a pool of water, in some surface in which she doesn’t so much admire or check herself as question her identity.
This is part of the reason that Remi’s subjects, beautiful as they are, feel less like fashion models and more like people. They’re not there necessarily to make us fall in love with an article of clothing but to make us feel the emotion they’re feeling. This particular shoot starring Paige Watkins, titled Entre desir et soupcon does just that.
