When something is “the cat’s meow” it’s not only spectacular, it’s likely to be referencing the 1920s. So synonymous with the decade is the oddly-coined superlative that, even now, a simple title like “Cat’s Meow” says it all. And so does the title for Advan Matthew’s shoot for Farrago Magazine which feels authentically of-the-era down to the finger waves (styled by Olivia Worotitjan) and carefree party-girl attitude.
The inspired styling by Kaymori has all the ’20s bases covered from beaded gowns to sparkling jewellery and hats. Advan Matthew’s photography captures the mood and the style, with carefully chosen locations that don’t give away the modern era.
