Here Comes The National Bridal Show
Although many weddings take place in the warmer months, January is wedding-planning season. With that pandemonium comes a plethora of wedding shows and if you’re in the Toronto area we’re betting you’ll want to check out the National Bridal Show over the next few days (January 24-27 at the Direct Energy Centre).
Bridal celebrities (yes, there are bridal celebrities just as there are celebs in any niche—except for maybe scuba diving… no wait, there was Jacques Cousteau–ok, so yeah EVERY niche), Jane Dayus-Hinch from Wedding SOS and Keasha Rigsby from Keasha’s Perfect Dress will be on hand meeting fans and dishing out free advice for the brides-to-be.
And, let us not forget the fashion shows; there are one or two happening each day. Sounds about right.
You can get more info on their website, but we finagled a few interesting factoids out of the show organizers for the wedding-voyeur-at-large:
- 12,000 to 15,000 people attend the show each year
- Over 125 bridal exhibitors
- 200 gowns on display with 60 in the fashion show
- Over 100 cakes to sample (reason enough to go!)
