Six Trends to Expect This Season On the Red Carpet—Straight From the Pros

(Photos Getty and Axelle/Bauer-Griffin))With award season in full swing thanks to last night's People's Choice Awards, we can't wait to see what the celebs (and their hair and makeup teams) have coming up for us the rest of the season. Last night, we caught up with celebrity makeup artist and creator of The Beauty Department Amy Nadine and celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath to do some trend forecasting. See what they're predicting for the red carpet:

1. The Goddess Glow

(Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America)Nadine thinks after a long bout of matte makeup, we're going to start seeing the return of warm, glowing skin. From highlighted cheeks to luminous shoulders and cleavage, Nadine is predicting stars will be unleashing their inner J.Lo this spring.

2. Sparkles and Metallics

(Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America) Eyes this season will no longer favor the structured cat eye, but rather a softer, smudgier look. Nadine expects to see all the attention on the lashline, instead of the crease of the lid like in a smoky eye. She thinks many celebs will add high shimmer and metallics on top to create a sparkling look, as well.

3. The Return of the Perfect Pout

(Michael Buckner/Getty Images North America)After a few seasons of the matte lip, Nadine is predicting a return of the oh-so classic perfected pout. She's thinking old-school Uptown girl with her lined, colored and glossed lip and all!

4. Sleek Yet Soft

(Axelle/Bauer-Griffin) For hair, Heath saw a lot of undone, non-fussy hair last night at the People's Choice Awards, and she thinks the look will continue throughout award season. From a sleek middle part to a messy ponytail or bun, Heath is thinking no-fuss is the way.

5. The Accidental Bend

(Jason Merritt/Getty Images North America) What is the accidental bend you might ask? It's the casual tousled bend of the hair that's not quite as structured as a curl but not a wave either. It's just the right amount of twist in the hair!

6. Bangin'

(Christopher Polk/Getty Images North America)We've seen 'em a lot, and apparently they're not going anywhere. Bangs are here to stay, Heath says. Whether they're soft and flowing like Allison Williams's or blunt like Melissa Rauch, bangs are hot, hot, hot.
