The collection of the Australian womenswear brand that is due to hit stores this week is filled with enchanting designs. This is a truly hybrid collection that merges retro-inspired styles with an ultra modern twist. We see photographic prints in monochrome or soft, washed out fluro hues, as well as creative collars and lace dresses. The pleated and structured designs evoke a classic style with an edge; there are mixes of lace, silk, knit and woven fabrics in styles ranging from dresses, blazers, skirts and shirts to trousers.
The feminine silhouettes are the perfect attire to show off at garden parties. And what better way to flaunt your Secret Garden garment than at the biggest secret garden party in the world? The Secret Garden Party in Cambridgeshire, that will take place from 25th to 28th July under the theme Superstition, is set to be magical. The yet to be announced 2013 lineup of the annual independent arts and music festival will be revealed soon. Past acts have included Florence and the Machine, KT Tunstall, Lily Allen, The Noisettes, Grace Jones, The XX, Blondie and Metronomy. We can’t wait to scream our hearts out in these enchanting floral print T-Shirt dresses!
During an interview with Societe Perrier, designer Julia Ritorto and assistant designer Kate Anderson (pictured below) described their favourite of-the-moment trends. ‘We are still into fluro brights but using them as a trim so it’s more subtle. We are also really into floral, so pretty and girl and paired back with sheer fabrics of summer.’ The label whose trademark high wasted shorts and popularity with celebs and bloggers, such as Song of Style, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Christina Milian, have earned it the status of the go-to-label for fashion-forward looks that won’t break the bank, is never afraid to take creative risks and boldly updates their styles for their adventure and trend seeking customers. Finders Keepers’ Secret Garden is fast fashion at its finest.
