Carrie Underwood's Stunning Side-Swept Updo
Carrie Underwood's lovely look is fairly easy to duplicate. Begin by backcombing the hair throughout the crown and the back of the head. In order to give the 'do staying power, it's really important to create a lot of texture. Next, section out bangs and a few strands around the face. Sweep the rest of the hair back behind one ear and secure with a hair elastic, trying to maintain as much volume through the crown as possible. Then curl one-inch sections of the ponytail along with any loose strands using a small-barreled curling iron. Once all the hair has been curled, take one-inch sections of the ponytail, twist loosely, loop and secure with a bobby pin. The pinned sections don't have to be perfect, just create a pretty mass of twisted and looped curls. To finish the look, spritz with hairspray.
