Charlotte Ross' Braided Headband
Charlotte Ross' braided headband added a totally different vibe to her otherwise simple chignon. It was a whimsical touch that looked fantastic with her romantic, pale blue dress. To duplicate her look, begin by sectioning out a few face-framing strands and pulling the rest of the hair back, securing it into a low ponytail. Next, backcomb the ponytail to create lots of texture. Then wrap the ponytail under, inserting the ends into the hair elastic holding the base of the ponytail or using bobby pins. For the headband, braid together three two-inch sections of real or synthetic hair, securing both ends with hair elastics. Pin one end of the braid underneath the base of the chignon drawing it over the head like a headband also pinning the other end under the base of the chignon.
