Thanks to Debby's bold yet consistently age-appropriate aesthetic, the grounded starlet was a natural choice to be our next StyleBistro celebrity guest editor.

When it comes to sharing her top style and beauty tips, Debby doesn't hold back: The self-described "mall shopper" is happy to dish. We sat down with Debby to talk shopping on a budget and layering for spring, plus we even got the scoop on Debby's most embarrassing fashion moment and her secrets to blemish-free skin. Here are some snippets from our convo:

SB: What are your favorite trends for spring?
In transition weather, I'm loving tights and shorts, especially as I travel. They both hold up really easily and travel great.

SB: What's currently on your shopping wish list?
I love these heels that look like something you could climb a mountain in, except for the fact that they're heels. They're a little bit more rugged and they're strong.

SB: What beauty product can't you live without?
I love Youngblood foundation. It doesn't make me break out and it just feels really pure and lasts really long.

SB: Where do you like to shop?
I'm kind of a mall shopper. I always find kind of amazing $30 boots at Charlotte Russe, or something that was marked down at Forever 21.

SB: How do you communicate through style?
There are days when I feel really exhausted and tired. I wake up, I put my hair in a side bun and stomp in on combat boots and I'm like listen, if I'm not going to be strong today my boots are going to be strong for me.

SB: On Rachel Zoe:
I love how Rachel Zoe isn't afraid to incorporate big hippie pieces into her look, like giant sunglasses. Right now I'm wearing giant men's aviators and a giant leopard coat and I feel like that's a very Rachel Zoe move.
