Just as peacocks use their feathers to attract a mate, men have become pretty resourceful in attracting attention from the opposite sex. And while a little flash never hurt anybody, there comes a point where peacocking just gets embarrassing.
Whether it's Justin Bieber
and his Michael Jackson-esque mask or Snoop Dogg
and his fish hat
, these fellas might as well be shouting, "Look at me!"
Sure, Marilyn Monroe once said, "If you can make a girl laugh you can make her do anything," but we doubt she had these zany accessories in mind.
On a recent night out, a friend and I couldn't help but notice a dude wearing a very special
hat. And while we did feel the need to get photographic proof of this encounter, his ability to capture our attention for two seconds did not result in conversation or an exchange of phone numbers.
Let's be honest, no girl wants to date the guy in the Pikachu hat.
Our cartoon-loving aquaintance is far from alone. Recent sightings include a man wearing an alligator hat, men in feathered boas, and even those wearing underwear outside of their pants. And as if he needs help charming the ladies, Prince Harry was just spotted wearing an Angry Birds hat
So while your buddies may pat you on the back for your hilarious antics (while secretly rejoicing in how much easier you've made their game for the evening), we have a better suggestion. Wear something sharp and dazzle us with your witty personality, not your penchant for goofy attire.
Do you think peacocking is funny or just plain embarrassing?
