(via fashionhazard.com)Gamers and the glitterati aren't that different after all—
Conde Nast Digital launched its very own fashion-themed video game last night, and it, well, looks like it time-traveled here straight from 1999.
The game is called
Fashion Hazard, and it tests players' ability to make it as a model on the Fashion Week runway. The qualifications for "making it" are quite scary—a zig-zagged walk down the runway, props to step over, even (gasp!)
really high heels. And if you don't succeed? Well, then you're a fashion hazard.
(iTunes)The challenges progress across four fashion weeks: New York, London, Paris, and Milan. There are six different models to choose from, and they all have their own unique story.
Like model Gabrielle, who grew up in a wealthy suburb and who, according to her character bio, "spent many an evening partying with her friends in the big city so the club bouncers and bartenders already knew her name…and her, uh, face."
Then there's Rob, who "was an All-American athlete… until he saw a friend get injured and realized a broken nose could dash his future hopes forever."
And we can't forget Emma: "Emma is one of those girls who doesn’t seem to perspire, ever… never."

The only thing we're left wondering is: are
you a fashion hazard?
