Diane Kruger: Loves Calvin Klein 'Beauty' and the Bon Marche, is Buddies with Karl Lagerfeld

Actress Diane Kruger is a vision both on and off the silver screen. We loved her in Inglourious Basterds and National Treasure: Book of Secrets and she's currently starring in the Marie Antoinette film Farewell, My Queen. But we also love her front-row at every Chanel show, season after season. Plus, she always looks stunning on the red carpet.

This week's WSJ has an exclusive interview with Kruger, where she reveals some of her fashion and beauty secrets as well as gives us a peek at her life off-camera. Turns out her real life is just as glamorous as her public life. Seriously. Karl Lagerfeld is her buddy and neighbor!

Here are some of our favorite bits from the story.

Her favorite fragrance? Calvin Klein's "Beauty." And her favorite shop is the Bon Marche in Paris (we're fans of the department store's food hall, yum).

"The last thing I purchased was a pair of white leather Givenchy flats in Paris at the Bon Marché," Kruger says.

On Karl: "One of the most cultured people I know is Karl Lagerfeld. I've known him since I was 16 years old and today he's both a friend and a neighbor. He is obsessed with Versailles and Marie Antoinette. When I got the part of the queen, he was one of the first people I called and I walked over to his home and picked his brain for inspiration."

On men's fashion: "I love men's fashion, particularly Rag & Bone, which is one of my boyfriend's favorite brands. He doesn't like clothes that are too tailored or 'fashiony'; sometimes I'll pick up pieces for him, but he's a big boy and can shop for himself."

BTW: Her boyfriend is Joshua Jackson (aka Pacey from Dawson's Creek).
