Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP—her life-coach-to-the-world foray into the web-o-sphere—has long been one of the most fascinating as well as one of the most mocked-in-the-media peeks behind-the-scenes at a celebrity's lifestyle.
Since the launch of GOOP in 2008, Paltrow's site (and newsletter) has often been accused of being
out of touch and
tone-deaf. From her advice for parents on how to dress their infants in
$100 hoodies to name-dropping and
humble-bragging, to her lack of reasonable perspective on, well,
lots of things—Paltrow's had to endure heaps of criticism.
But still, she's unstoppable.
On Friday, Gwyneth unveiled a redesigned GOOP website—which relaunched complete with a
GOOP Shop. Yes, a shop filled with GOOP stuff.
The idea, apparently, is that every week, Paltrow will hawk one collaboration product. This week? It's a white cotton crewneck T-shirt with grosgrain piping on the shoulders and side seams. The price? $90.
Would you pay $90 for a Gwyneth Paltrow GOOP white T-shirt? Let's put it to a vote, shall we.
