Hey there! I'm Lindsay Schallon, StyleBistro's newest Associate Editor, and I'm beyond excited to meet you guys!

Ever since I can remember, I've loved to write. As a kid, when I wasn't cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals (shoutout to my hometown!) or playing with my pet pig, Henry (Yes, you read that right. Pet pig!), you could find me scribbling away in my diary or curled up on the porch swing with a good read.

Come college not much changed, except that Twitter soon became my go-to outlet for writing about all things awesome. I attended the Missouri School of Journalism, and nabbed my first major internship in NYC at Cosmopolitan. Between the bright lights and the AH-mazing shoes, let's just say I was sold.

After graduating in May 2011, just barely a year ago, I packed up two suitcases and headed back to the big city for good. Within a week, I was a copywriter at Ralph Lauren, writing for e-commerce merchandise and online editorials. There my kind of ridiculous online shopping addiction formed (it seriously might be a problem, you guys) and my eternal love for the fashion industry flourished.

I love the transformative power of fashion and beauty, how a killer new outfit or a bold red lip can completely lift your mood and give you the biggest burst of confidence. I also can't get enough of "real-girl style" aka reading heaps and heaps of fashion blogs and scouring Pinterest for all sorts of style inspiration. Between gushing over gorgeous red carpet gowns and dishing out the latest fashion news (I am a journalism grad, after all!), I can't wait to share all the exciting things that are sure to come with you guys. It's truly a dream come true!
