Paper Denim & Cloth
Denim lovers, rejoice! It looks like iconic blue jean brand
Paper Denim & Cloth is about to undergo a pretty massive makeover. According to
a report in
WWD, the label is relaunching its line of premium denim come September and will be offering new men's and women's sportswear collections.
After a major flop in sales back in 2006, the brand's founders (who also are responsible for those
Mudd jeans we all
looooved in middle school) are hopeful to become competitors once again in the world of high-end denim.
“I think Paper Denim & Cloth is a brand that has a lot of potential that it hasn’t lived up to,” Alex Gilbert Gaines, one of the brand's orginal co-founders, said in an interview with
WWD. “I feel like it has a destiny. I want to create a legacy brand for my dad and our family. People in their late 20s and 30s and 40s remember the brand well and get really excited talking about it — especially men.”
The full denim collection includes three fits for men and six fits for women and ranges in price from $165 to $240.
