During September's New York Fashion Week, rap mogul and Sean John founder Diddy (aka
Sean Combs) called on several of his connections in the fashion industry for a very interesting favor: He wanted to feature them on his album.
The forthcoming studio album
Last Train to Paris features the vocal stylings of
Andre Leon Talley,
Anna Wintour,
Marc Jacobs,
Isaac Mizrahi and
Zac Posen, to name a few—although none of the snippets (which can be heard at
Vogue.com) are particularly musical. Anna Wintour's part is limited to "This is Anna Wintour from
Vogue Magazine. You are now listening to the Last Train to Paris."
It's unfortunate that Diddy wasn't able to find a more stylistic way to incorporate his stylish pals into the new album; All the spoken parts seem like advertisements for the album and nothing more (maybe they are?). Still, we're sure all Diddy's guest stars have made fellow fashion fan
Kanye West very jealous.
