Kanye Calls Lindsay Lohan the 9/11 of Celebrity Designers

Kanye WestKanye West aspires to be a fashion designer, but he can't—and he blames Lindsay Lohan. At the premiere of his short film Runaway, a flick with a high-fashion focus thanks to costume designer Phillip Lim, the rapper called Lindsay's work for Ungaro "the 9/11 for celebrities doing fashion."
Lindsay sent heart-shaped pasties down the runway for Spring 2010, a debacle which crippled the company and tarnished its brand image. Kanye says after that he put his long rumored line Pastelle on hold and thought, "well I can't do a line now" and, "people look down on celebs doing fashion." Poor Kanye, so much love for clothes and nowhere to go.
Lindsay's stint at Ungaro didn't help celebrities who want to get involved in the fashion industry, but don't lose hope Kanye! Just look at Sienna Miller, Gwen Stefani, Victoria Beckham and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen—they're doing great!
