Professional poker player Beth Shak has a designer shoe addiction—a $1 million Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen shoe addiction, to be precise.

And, after her ex-husband tried to sue her in divorce court over the secret stash, which he alleges she kept under lock-and-key, hidden from him, throughout their marriage, Shak told the press that her massive shoe obsession was all his fault—blaming it on "lack of emotion and love" in their relationship.

"It really was a sickness, it was like a disease," Shak told the New York Post. "There was such a lack of emotion and love in my relationship that I filled that void with shopping. I was shopping endlessly, I couldn't stop.

"I wanted love and emotional support and affection," she continued. "But there was nothing. He would say, 'Stop! Get away from me!' I tried to keep track of what I was buying, but I lost control. He would always say, 'I'm busy! Leave me alone! Just go shopping or something!' And I would give in and just go do it."

Do you think that it's fair to blame a $1 million shoe collection and shopping habit on lack of emotional support in a relationship? Sound off in the comments!
