New York Fashion Week is so close we can taste it. Want a sneak peek? We've snagged a preview of celeb-favorite designer Pamella Roland's Spring '13 sketches.

Launched in 2002, Pamella Roland is known for its elegant eveningwear. For her tenth year, Roland's collection is inspired by American artist Ellsworth Kelly (in case you're in New York City, there's a great Ellsworth Kelly exhibit on at the Met through this weekend).

"His stark black and white paintings are part of a body of work that resonate in particular because of their clean almost severe lines that speak to a harmony between the shapes that they create," Pamella DeVos, founder and designer of Pamella Roland, said.

Check out the sketches up-close and personal below.

There's this beautiful mixed-print black-and-yellow look:

A diaphanous black-gray-white gown:

A cape! We're loving capes right now:

And an ultra-glam evening gown with a train we're sure will be making an appearance on A-list red carpets when awards season rolls around:

Pretty cool, eh? We're really excited to see how these materialize. What do you think of Pamella Roland's sketches? Are you a fan of her work? Tell us in the comments section, below.
