Fashion editors itching to feature
Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 collection in their editorials are apparently out of luck. It seems the entire arsenal of edgy sportswear has been stolen mid-transit from Paris. Although details regarding the theft are scarce, Marc Jacobs PR people sent an email to those in the fashion biz saying:
The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is canceled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.
Stealing the collection was not just a brazen act, it was also quite useless. For one, sample sizes are notoriously tiny, having been built for supermodel proportions. Plus, as the collection has yet to be distributed, anyone foolish enough to strut about in the threads will be easily apprehended.
