Miley Cyrus Covers 'Marie Claire'

Miley Cyrus looks all grown up on Marie Claire's September cover—and rocks that newly engaged glow—in tight-fitting metallics, over-the-top jewels, smoky eyes, and big hair. In other words: Hannah Montana who?

The magazine's interview happened just one hour after Liam Hemsworth popped the question in their California home (a proposal which, apparently, was a huge surprise to both her and her parents).
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with," Miley told Marie Claire. "I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement."
One thing that wasn't a surprise? How much she loves her ring.
"I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty…I just love that it’s old and has a story," she said. "And I’m happy because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”
