(via Aubin & Wills)Time was, in the late '90s, when you couldn't turn a page (or a corner) and not see the beautiful face and bombshell body of then-supermodel
Sophie Dahl. The granddaughter of legendary children's author Roald Dahl was discovered in 1995 by the late, great
Isabella Blow, who spotted Sophie weeping on the doorstep of her mother's house. Blow whisked her away to meet Sarah Doukas—the woman who discovered
Kate Moss—at Storm Models in London and, as they say, the rest is history.
Sophie's been off the modeling radar for a while now. In the early-2000s, she turned her attentions to more literary pursuits, writing novels and cookbooks as well as working as a contributing editor at several
Vogue titles.
But, although we love her written work, we've long missed Sophie's face in magazines. Her enormous, soulful eyes and surreal-real figure.
After a too-long hiatus from modeling, she's finally back—modeling for British label
Aubin & Wills' fall campaign (Aubin & Wills is the big sister to Jack Wills, the collegiate brand that's available in the US).
Check out these amazing new images of the now-34-year-old Sophie Dahl and fall in love with her all over again.
