Following his September 2011 conviction of anti-Semiticism, designer John Galliano—ex-artistic-director of Dior—has been stripped of the Knighthood of the Legion of Honour he was awarded by the French government in 2009.
According to an AFP report, the revocation appeared in the Journal Officiel on August 20th by decree of French President Francois Hollande.
Galliano was fired from Dior in March 2011 after allegations—and a video—came to light about his drunken anti-Semitic rants.
