Who was that sultry redhead at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style event Wednesday night? Turns out, it was none other than formerly flaxen-haired Jennifer Morrison. Instead of lightening up her look like so many other celebs have been wont to try lately, the actress opted for a daring auburn 'do.

The newly titian-tressed beauty explained to the magazine the reason for the bold shade, saying, "I'm doing a film called Some Girls, so I've had red hair for 24 hours now." She certainly didn't hesitate to make the most of the dramatic new color, wearing her hair styled for the red carpet in sexy cascading waves.

This isn't the first time the celeb has surprised us by tinting her hair a darker hue. From 2005 to 2007 she wore a range of deep rich shades, eventually lifting her hair to light copper. Since 2008, Jennifer has maintained blond tresses, occasionally going between medium gold and a cool pale color. But with such a ravishing result, let's hope she keeps the red a little longer.
