Nicole Richie's Cool New Haircut

Nicole Richie (Getty Images)For awhile Nicole Richie had been wearing her flaxen locks long and flowing. However, never one to shy away from a dramatic new hairstyle, it appears she's moved on to a shorter, choppier 'do. She kept the color and the face-framing fringe, but there are now a multitude of layers.
The new look is effortlessly chic and will look great either slightly tousled or perfectly coiffed. The cut should offer her a lot of versatility and will make adding volume or subtle waves super easy. The mother of two also wisely opted for keeping some length so she can swiftly pull it up when on the go.
In addition to Nicole, a few other celebs have recently explored their shorter hair options. Back in February Olivia Munn lopped it off in favor of a smart chin-length bob and within recent weeks Ali Larter followed suit. Also back in July Vanessa Hudgens cropped her flowing tresses into a short and sporty layered razor cut and of course there was the adorable pixie cut Dannii Minogue debuted in late August.
