Celebs Inspire Oscar-Themed Nail Polish Collection

Julep Oscars Collection Looking for the perfect nail color for your upcoming Oscar party? Well Julep, creators of colorful celeb-themed nail polish, has introduced a new line inspired by this year's Academy Awards nominees. The Oscars Collection contains seven intensely-hued lacquers, all worthy of the red carpet.

Three of the collection's shades commemorate women nominated for best actress in a leading role: Glenn (Close) is a "bold berry red shimmer"; Viola (Davis) is the "deepest dark purple creme"; and Meryl (Streep) is "the perfect neutral, sophisticated gray creme." We can't help but wonder, though, where are Rooney (Mara) and Michelle (Williams)?

Interestingly, the other four polishes include three colors named for actresses not currently nominated: Rachel (Weisz), a "warm rich copper shimmer"; Elizabeth (Olsen), "midnight blue with a hint of shimmer"'; and Marisa (Tomei, who, incidentally, won an Oscar in 1993) is a "dark, rich cobalt blue shimmer."

The final shade pays homage to Oscar himself and according to Julep, wearers will "sparkle like a star with this ultra chic, multidimensional gold glitter." So on Sunday, while you may not be dressed to the nines like your best-loved luminary, you could still sweep on a couple coats of your favorite Oscar-occasioned color.
