OPI 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Nail Polish Collection OPI, creators of nail polish collections inspired by a number of celebs, is launching a line of lacquers commemorating The Amazing Spider-Man. The webbed wall-walker will soon be joining the likes of Betsey Johnson, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Serena Williams and even the Muppets.
The upcoming film won't hit theaters until July 3, however, die-hard fans of the webslinger can nab the themed polishes beginning in mid-May. The range will include six shades and one texture option with names meant to evoke elements of the Spider-Man story.
Funny thing, though: There's not a primary red, electric blue or inky black in the bunch. Instead there's a warm pink hue called "Your Web or Mine?", a vibrant coral named for Peter Parker's first ladylove Gwen Stacy and even a metallic yellowish-green for Spider-Man's adversary The Lizard. The three remaining colors include "Into the Night" (midnight blue), "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" (bright white) and "Number One Nemesis" (metallic gunmetal).
The six hues can each be worn alone or brushed over with the texture polish "Shatter the Scales." The shimmery dark green hue looks like the other lacquers and even smooths on the same, yet it creates a crackle finish that shows patches of underlying color. If our spidey sense is correct, this seventh option will be the most exciting.
